Our Story
Landworks® was founded in 1975 by two brothers, James and Henry Wilson, who shared a passion for woodworking and saw a need for better outdoor power equipment. Coming from a long line of sawmill workers and lumberjacks in the Pacific Northwest, they understood the value of sturdy and efficient tools for managing properties with lots of trees and brush.
The Wilson brothers started Landworks® out of their garage workshop where they designed and built the first-ever dual-feed wood chipper for handling both branches and logs with ease. Neighbors were so impressed by this invention that word quickly spread about the quality and uniqueness of Landworks® equipment. By 1980, the business had grown into a small manufacturing facility capable of supplying wood chippers to local hardware stores.
Over the next few decades, Landworks® continued to expand its product line to include log splitters, leaf blowers, augers, winches, and other specialty tools targeted at both homeowners and professional contractors. We pioneered new features like auto-cycle valve technology for smoother log splitting and pivoting discharge chutes to make wood chipping safer and more precise.
Today, Landworks® operates a 70,000 square-foot production plant and maintains a nationwide network of over 1,000 dealers. Now in its third generation of family ownership, the company remains committed to James and Henry’s original values of honesty, hard work, and treating customers like family.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Woodinville, WA is specially designed to produce Landworks® equipment to the highest standards of quality and performance. We control every aspect of engineering, machining, assembly, testing, and shipping so customers can feel confident in the reliability of every Landworks® wood chipper, log splitter, and utility vehicle.
Our talented team of design engineers combines decades of industry experience with the latest technology to consistently innovate better and safer outdoor power tools. Our 70,000 square-foot plant houses advanced robotic machining centers capable of precise fabrication for critical components like log splitter cylinders and chipper blades. Skilled technicians hand-assemble each unit and rigorously test for proper operation. Before packaging, all equipment undergoes a multi-point power and function inspection so it arrives at the dealer ready for many years of hard work.
We carefully manage inventory to accommodate customized orders and seasonal demand changes. Thanks to our in-house machine shop and qualified service staff, we can also quickly manufacture replacement parts to keep Landworks® products running for decades.

Log Splitters
Landworks® high-performance gas and electric log splitters employ advanced two- and four-way wedge designs and auto-cycle valves so you can power through even the toughest logs with less strain. With up to 40 tons of splitting force and log capacities over 20”, our commercial-grade models make quick work of massive timber.
Safety is also built into every log splitter thanks to features like reversible cutting wedges, integrated safety chains, extra-large strike zones, and push-button controls located a safe distance from the splitting wedge. For ultimate convenience, select models offer innovative options like vertical/horizontal operation, trailer-mounted highway mobility, and wireless remote control.
Utility Carts & Wheelbarrows
The Landworks® line of steel utility carts and wheelbarrows provides rugged cargo-hauling solutions for any landscape, construction, or farming job. With extra-large capacities up to 15 cubic feet and models for any terrain, Landworks utility vehicles are built to carry supplies, tools, soil, debris, plants, and other heavy materials with muscle-saving ease.
